OUR Heritage
Light Castle Winery guarantees the highest quality of its products and preserves the tradition and the sacred oath of the old Thracian wine-makers and vine-growers.
The winery is of possession of 1.9 ha of certified high quality vine yards. The sort varieties are the following: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sangiovese, Pinot Noir and Tempranillo, and each is exclusively selected based on the unique terroir – the micro climate and the soil characteristics of the region.
We are proud to be part of the Bulgarian wine society and the Bulgarian Chamber of Wines and Spirits, and we are striving to preserve that unique Bulgarian characteristic and heritage that is worth sharing with the rest of the world.
Light Castle Winery, successfully blends modern technological solutions and enological practices that integrate the traditional, time-proven methods, in order to produce the top Bulgarian red wines, featuring superb organoleptic characteristics and at the same time preserving the most precious health-stimulating microorganisms.
Since 2009, Light Castle Winery started a conversion process for bio certification of all of its vineyards. The goal was to create the first all bio winery in Bulgaria.
Currently Light Castle has several blocks that are 100% bio harvest.
